Guy Portelli RBA FRBS was born in South Africa in 1957 and studied Interior Design and 3D Design at Medway College of Art.
He worked as a sculptor in the special effects department at the BBC before setting up his own practice in 1981.
He has an impressive track record in the field of contemporary sculpture with many of his pieces held in public, corporate and private collections.
Guy was elected as a member of the Royal Society of British Artists in 1998 and voted on to the council in 2000 and in 2010 was made Vice President
Portelli has exhibited his abstract sculptures in galleries and sculpture parks.
In 2005 Schiffer published Guy's beautiful and important book 'Modern British Sculpture', a comprehensive study of modern sculpture's development.
Exhibited in London, Guernsey, Spain, and USA.
