Bill Dean ROI

Born in North London, Bill was educated at The Latymer School and studied Book Illustration at Hornsey College of Art.

After National Service he entered teaching, his last post being in Adult Education in Kent.

Bill started painting in oils in 1987, a new venture which brought success when he was selected by the Artist Magazine for “Britain’s Painters 1992” at the Westminster Gallery.

Amongst the many group shows in which he has participated are the R.A Summer Exhibition; Royal Society of Marine Artists; Royal Society of British Artists; Royal Institute of Oil Painters; New English Art Club, and the Discerning Eye at the Mall Galleries.

He has executed several commisions for private collections and his work has been published by the Medici Society.

Bill's work is held in the collection of The Palace Of Westminster.

In 2008 Bill was made an Associate of The Royal Institute of Oil Painters and a full ROI in 2010.
